May has been a very noteworthy month for DyCare as the company had the opportunity to participate in three renowned national and international conferences in the fields of physical therapy, physical medicine and rehabilitation. The objective of our participation was getting to know new trends in health, and to present our innovative digital solutions.
DyCare participates in several international physical medicine and rehabilitation congresses
From May 4 to May 5, DyCare participated in the 1st International Congress of Physiotherapy, an international meeting point with more than 1,800 experts in all fields of physiotherapy organized by the Col-legi de Fisioterapeutes de Catalunya. We had the opportunity to meet professionals from different areas and introduce them to the advantages of Lynx, the first device developed by DyCare that consists of simple software and motion sensors that allow a functional evaluation of joint disorders.
In addition, attending this congress provided us with new knowledge on the needs and trends of this growing sector: “We are a company dedicated to research and development of innovative solutions for musculoskeletal disorders, so we must be fully aware of how the market is evolving,” said Daniel Serra, Business Developer at DyCare.
The following week, on May 9 and 10, DyCare flew to London to approach rehabilitation professionals at a leading European event: COPA SERIES 2018. This event allowed the company to compare the different European markets, to learn about new trends and to establish direct contacts with rehabilitation centers, health centers and distributors. On Wednesday, May 9, Ricardo Jauregui, CTO and co-founder of DyCare, gave attendees a live demonstration of how DyCare Lynx works.
DyCare at national events on rehabilitation and innovation
At a national level, DyCare did not miss the reference congress on rehabilitation in Spain SERMEF, which held its 56th edition from May 17 to 19 in Gijón, Asturias. Before the meeting, the Spanish Society for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (SERMEF) alleged: “Emerging companies will have the opportunity to present their real solutions to problems that arise in the medical specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to healthcare professionals.
In addition to having an exhibitor stand during the three days, DyCare participated in the eHealth Roadshow, a pioneering action of the Ticbiomed business association. The launch of this project provided an opportunity for ten startups to present for evaluation their innovative digital solutions to a committee of healthcare professionals.
That same afternoon, DyCare presented the Lynx device in the challenge launched by Allergan entitled “Supporting the healthcare professional in planning TBA treatment sessions and evaluating clinical outcomes”. The pharmaceutical company Allergan promoted the debate with the participation of the well-known doctor Alberto Esquenazi aiming to explore possible, digital solutions from the clinical point of view of rehabilitation doctors. Through the contributions of the participating companies, the pharmaceutical laboratory will have to assess the possible alliance with some of them, and promote a digital solution that responds to their challenge. DyCare highlighted the accuracy of its device, a suitable solution to measure objectively patients with spasticity and to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment.
Silvia Raga, CEO and co-founder of DyCare, says: “Ricardo Llavona, president of the Congress, has been very innovative in the format and dedicated space to startups with innovative projects for medical rehabilitation”.
According to Infosalus, Ricardo Llavona states, “the objectives of rehabilitation and its mainstreaming make it one of the medical specialties with the greatest technological demand and that it is necessary to keep abreast of the latest developments.”
